Mrs. Arathi K.T (Founder and Managing Trustee Saadhya Trust for Social Development, Vice President Special Olympics Bharath Karnataka, National Trainer Special Olympics Bharath)


Mrs. Arathi K.T was born in Madikeri, Coorg Dist, Karnataka India. She is the Founder and Managing Trustee Saadhya Trust for Social Development. Vice President Special Olympics Bharath Karnataka. National Trainer Special Olympics Bharath.
She has MSW with Specialization in Medical & Psychiatry and stood 2nd at Mangalore University. She later Post-Graduated with Diploma in Industrial Relation and Personnel Management from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, and successfully completed Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation) from Bangalore University.
She operates two Residential schools for Intellectually Challenged Children at Hospet and Hassan and providing services to over 130 Specially Abled children. Hospet School alone has strength of 136 specially Abled children. Very recently three students from Saadhya Special School,Hospet had the privilege of participating at Special Olympics World Summer Games and won International Medals at Abudhabi, where athletes of similar nature from 192 countries participated.

Achievements

Ms Arathi represented as Athletic head coach, team India at Special Olympics World Summer Games held at Loss Angeles, USA in 2015.
She has represented as Asst HOD, Team India at Special Olympics World Summer Games held at Abu Dhabi in 2019.

  • Arathi was conferred with State Award by Department of Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizen Govt of Karnataka in 2016 for her outstanding work in the field of Disability
  • Recipient of “JANAKA” Janara Naduvina Kanmani award from Kalasangama Ballari in 2016
  • Recipient of Padhama Bhushan Dr H Narasimaiah State Award in 2018
  • Recipient of Samaja Seva Bharghava Prashasti-2018
  • “Hemmeya Kannadiga Prashasti” -2019 received at DUBAI from Hemmeya UAE Kannadiga Association
  • Kodagu Dhakshina Kannada Gowda Sanga felicitated at DUBAI
  • Her work telecasted as Public TV “ Public Hero”
